Connections with the community
St Ives preschool has operated as a not-for-profit, community based service since 1961, that is funded by the NSW State government and with the support of Ku-ring-gai Council.

We encourage active involvement from parents. The preschool operates under the guidance of a Volunteer Management Committee, made up of dedicated parents and community representatives.  This committee plays a vital role in decision making and the overall running of the preschool. We also have a social committee whose aim is to organise social events and some fundraising in order to further foster a cohesive community atmosphere. By managing the preschool in this way we are able to provide children and their families with equal access to a high quality early childhood experience.
We are committed to serving the needs of all within the community by involvement and support of local community events, our positive relationships with local schools and other support services in the area.
